Frequently asked questions

  • You have the freedom to create a separate invoice at any time. An invoice does not have to be related to a reservation, allowing you to easily and quickly add a separate invoice to your administration. A credit invoice can also be arranged quickly.

  • Does a group prefer to settle individually per person during check-out? Easily work with partial payments or split an invoice. Linking invoices, for example for business stays, is also not a problem.

  • By default, MyTourist creates proforma invoices for new bookings. As long as the invoice retains this status, it can be modified or even deleted in case of cancellation. A proforma invoice does not yet have an invoice number. It is easy to finalize the invoice, for example at check-out, and provide it with a subsequent invoice number. This gives you the freedom to easily add products and services to your guest's bill during their stay.

    Optionally, you can choose to finalize invoices directly and automatically, providing them with an invoice number. These invoices may not be deleted or modified. An extra bill for upselling can be easily created and a credit invoice can be made in no time.

  • As long as the invoice does not yet have an invoice number and it is therefore a proforma invoice, you can easily add a manual line or a product or even a discount to any invoice.

  • You choose whether you want to send an invoice to your guests immediately after booking. This can be via a reservation confirmation that you automatically email to your guest and/or through a download button on the thank you page after booking. The same applies to bookings from external platforms and bookings that you manually create in the MyTourist calendar.
