Easily and automatically streamline the billing process within your hotel, with this update it is now possible within MyTourist. Users are no longer tied to an integration with external accounting/billing tools. Simply generate invoices for your guests directly from MyTourist.
Billing platform, update 14
With the arrival of the integrated billing module, the booking page within MyTourist has been revised. The price calculation for the booking has made way for a reference to the underlying invoice. This will be created as a proforma and automatically generated and calculated based on your branding preferences. The invoice remains proforma until check-out unless you wish to finalize it earlier. As long as the invoice is not finalized and retains its 'proforma' status, changes can take place.
Online payments via Mollie
With this billing capability, a connection to Mollie has also been established, allowing your guests to pay online directly from the invoice. The invoice may optionally contain a QR code linking to the online guest page (see later) and a payment link to the payment environment.
Guest page
After a booking, your guest will receive an email with a unique link, provided you have enabled this feature. Through this unique link, the guest can always view the status of their booking as well as the status of any outstanding amounts. The invoice can be downloaded, and if Mollie is linked, the deposit or remaining payment can be made online. Your guest has real-time insight into their booking.
Export invoices
From the billing overview, exports can be created and offered in csv, xlsx, and pdf formats. Apply filters and see the status directly (expected revenue, definitive revenue, and already received/processed revenue).
Other updates
In addition to the billing highlight, update 14 includes the following improvements:
- Outgoing emails on behalf of MyTourist are sent from a unique email address. A reply to that unique address will end up in your mailbox;
- Booking vouchers have been removed as billing makes them redundant;
