A new beginning under the Spanish sun
Casa Donny
Sometimes something beautiful is born out of a difficult time. After the passing of her husband, the Dutch owner of Casa Donny decided to give her life a new direction. “Being alone was hard. After much reflection, I decided to move to Spain and start over.”
A place of peace, warmth, and connection
In 2022, she found her new home in Alhaurín el Grande, a charming town in Andalusia at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas. After an extensive renovation, she opened her own bed & breakfast: Casa Donny, named after her son Donny, who passed away in 2001 after a tragic accident. “It was an emotional process, but this house helped me rebuild my life. Casa Donny feels like a place of peace, warmth, and connection.”
An oasis of tranquility and coziness
Casa Donny is more than a place to stay—it’s a home. The B&B radiates calm and beauty, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that guests immediately feel. “Visitors appreciate the personal approach. I run everything myself, so I know every guest by name. That makes the connection truly special.”
For me, the calendar is essential. It keeps all bookings clearly organized and prevents overbookings.
